The Central Anti-Corruption Criminal Court announced the seizure of $20.34 million in US currency and 200 million Iraqi dinars in the corruption case involving detained former Deputy Oil Minister for Refining Affairs Adnan al-Jumaili and his associates.
Investigators also recovered 60 kilograms of gold during the operation.
Authorities confiscated seven vehicles as part of the investigation into the financial assets linked to the case.
The asset-tracking operation focused on suspected illicit financial gains allegedly generated through the waste of state funds in ministry refinery projects.
The court said the operation was carried out through operational coordination with authorities in the Kurdistan Region.
The investigation remains active, with judicial authorities continuing to pursue additional individuals allegedly connected to the corruption network and proceed with legal measures against them.

According to the statement, on May 30, Adnan al-Jumaili, former Deputy Minister for Oil for Refining Affairs and Director of the North Refineries Company and Baiji Refinery, was arrested by a special force under Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi in the al-Ishaqi area of Salah al-Din Governorate.
Iraqi authorities have seized over 232 billion Iraqi dinars and $44.54 million USD in cash, along with over 440 kilograms of gold hidden in properties and infrastructure. The investigation has further resulted in the seizure of 9 major commercial buildings, 3 factories, and over 35 vehicles to recover funds.
The judiciary has also confiscated between 40 and 70 high-value properties and agricultural lands in Baghdad, Tikrit, and Salah al-Din. These assets are currently under judicial custody, ensuring that revenue generated from the seized commercial properties is returned to the state treasury.
