Former SDF fighter Sami Sheikhmous Hasso, known as Sipan Hizni, was abducted from his Hasakah home and brutally beheaded by armed perpetrators on September 10. 

Hasso's body was transported to Hasakah on Saturday and laid to rest in the Shahid Dijwar Cemetery. 

This killing sparked immediate mass outrage, prompting thousands of citizens to march through the streets of Qamishlo, Amuda, and Kobani to demand accountability and the rule of law. 

The situation in Kobani turned volatile, where security forces deployed tear gas and gunfire to disperse crowds before enforcing a strict curfew and arresting several demonstrators. 

Tensions rapidly spread inside the Kobani detention facility after inmates learned that newly detained protesters were scheduled for transfer to central prisons in Aleppo. 

In a bid to obstruct these transfer orders, a group of inmates barricaded their cell doors and set themselves on fire, causing a fast-spreading blaze that left many dead and 17 injured. 

Hasakah Deputy Governor told Channel8 earlier that authorities have promised accountability to the family of Sami Sheikhmous Hasso, assuring them that his murder will not go unpunished.
