Iraq’s Fly Baghdad said on Tuesday that it will resume its flights starting on February 1, citing a lack of evidence following the accusations in the US Treasury report.

In a statement, Fly Baghdad announced its plans to resume flights after the completion of the committee's work appointed by the prime minister and highlighted the absence of evidence supporting the claims made in the US Treasury Department report

On January 23, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions on Fly Baghdad, alleging its involvement in facilitating the transportation of weapons to armed groups closely linked to Iran.

Fly Baghdad countered the allegations from the US Treasury Department, asserting that the accusations were grounded in "misleading and unreal information" that lacks legal merit.

Fly Baghdad, established on January 15, 2014, is an independent Iraqi private company founded by Iraqi businessmen specializing in air travel from Iraq to various destinations worldwide.
