In a recent statement, Iraqi National Security Advisor Qassim al-Araji admitted to the potential involvement of certain individuals holding foreign passports who collaborate with the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad in Erbil.

During an interview on Al-Ahram’s Half Circle program, Araji clarified that a guest at the bombed residence of Peshraw Dzeyi in Erbil was an Iraqi Christian, not a Mossad member. He also mentioned that Masrour Barzani granted permission to investigate any locations suspected of Mossad presence.

Araji emphasized that he does not deny the existence of individuals with foreign passports working alongside Mossad in Erbil. The findings of the investigation into the Erbil bombing have been shared with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani.

The incident occurred on December 15, 2024, when the Iranian Revolutionary Guards launched over 10 ballistic missiles at Erbil, resulting in the death of four individuals and injuring six others, including Peshraw Dzeyi and his Christian guest.
