The Iraqi Cabinet has bestowed the Ministry of Interior with the power to contract directly with Verdalia, the exclusive agent for the German company Ottobock in Iraq.

Ottobock specializes in manufacturing and installing smart prosthetic limbs. Sources shared with Iraq Business News that Verdalia, headquartered in Cyprus, operates within Iraq through the Al Mouna Scientific Bureau in Baghdad.

Ottobock, a family-owned company with Näder Holding as its sole owner, is chaired by Professor Hans Georg Näder and employs over 9,000 individuals.

The Cabinet’s decision aims to streamline the provision of care for Interior Ministry personnel who lost limbs during operations against the Islamic State (Daesh) extremist group.
