The Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI) has conducted an airstrike on a military camp in southeast Syria, occupied by US troops, as a response to the recent US bombardment on the border between Iraq and Syria.

The strike, which targeted the al-Tanf base in Homs, Syria, was claimed by the anti-terror fighters’ umbrella group.

They stated that the intended targets were successfully hit and destroyed with precision. Despite the attack, there have been no reports of casualties or the extent of damages caused.

The airstrike was a retaliatory measure after one Iraqi resistance fighter lost his life in the US bombardment on the Iraq-Syria border.
