Apple could potentially face significant fines in the billions of euros following the European Union’s recent discovery that the tech giant’s App Store is reportedly infringing on the bloc’s digital competition regulations.

The European Commission has notified Apple that its “App Store rules are in violation of the Digital Markets Act (DMA) as they restrict app developers from guiding consumers towards other channels for offers and content.”
