Trade between Iran and Turkey surges to $2.3 billion in early 2024

Iran and Turkey conducted trade worth up to $2.3 billion in the first five months of 2024, as reported by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).

This trade volume represents a 5% increase compared to the $2.1 billion exchanged during the same period last year.

From January to May, Turkey’s exports to Iran amounted to approximately $1.340 billion, showing a 16% rise from the $1.151 billion recorded in the corresponding period last year.

Conversely, Iran’s exports to Turkey during the first five months of the year totaled $1.038 billion, which is a 7% decrease from the $1.114 billion reported for the same period in the previous year.
