Local Syrian media have reported that coordination and necessary arrangements have been made for the upcoming meeting between Syria and Turkey in Baghdad.

Syrian news sources indicated that officials from both countries will soon meet in Iraq. The Syrian newspaper “Al-Watan” stated, “There are serious decisions for the Syrian and Turkish sides to return to the negotiating table.”

Al-Watan added that this meeting marks the beginning of a lengthy negotiation process that could result in political and practical agreements.

According to the Al-Watan report, “The Turkish side has requested Moscow and Baghdad to facilitate bilateral negotiations with Syria without any third-party presence and away from media coverage to discuss restoring relations between the two countries.”
