Amedi received the First Deputy Governor at Al-Salam Palace on Sunday, during which he emphasized the necessity of addressing citizens' needs and overcoming the challenges impacting their daily lives.

He underlined the importance of improving public services, describing it as "a foundation for greater stability and sustainable development" across the governorate.

Rebwar Taha outlined the governorate's most pressing needs alongside current development plans aimed at improving public services.

The Iraqi Ministry of Oil has officially activated a strategic development agreement with BP to increase crude production across four Kirkuk fields to 420,000 barrels per day. This initiative also includes funding for a 400-megawatt power plant to support the local electricity grid. 

Furthermore, preparations have been finalized to rehabilitate the Kirkuk-Baniyas pipeline to diversify oil transit routes to Mediterranean ports. 

Technical inspections of the Kirkuk-Ceyhan export route have additionally confirmed the infrastructure is fully operational and ready to resume exports.
