Four civilians were killed and nine others wounded in Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, according to a Lebanese security source.

A woman was killed with her child and stepchild, while a fourth civilian was killed in a separate strike, the security source said.

Israeli raids targeted several locations in south Lebanon, 10 to 25 kilometers from the Israeli border.

The strikes were launched following unclaimed rocket fire from Lebanon that injured seven people in northern Israel.

Hezbollah and Israeli forces have been exchanging fire almost daily, and at least 247 people have been killed in Lebanon, including the majority of Hezbollah but also 34 civilians.

The Israeli army says nine of its soldiers and six civilians have been killed.
