Israeli airstrikes killed five members of Hezbollah and its allied Amal movement on Friday in attacks that struck five villages in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah said two of its members were killed in the strikes while Amal announced three of its fighters were killed in a house in al-Qantara village.

Israel and Hezbollah have been engaged in near daily exchanges of fire since the Israel-Hamas war began and 12 Hezbollah members have been killed since Wednesday.

Ten civilians and five Hezbollah members were killed on Wednesday, including a commander.

At least 268 people have been killed in Lebanon, including 40 civilians, while ten soldiers and six civilians have been killed in Israel.
