New committee established to evaluate flood damage in Duhok province

Duhok’s Governor, Ali Tatar, said a committee has been established to assess the extensive damage incurred by the floods and to provide necessary support to affected families.

The Duhok’s Operations and Crisis Management Chamber reported that three individuals lost their lives, 11 sustained injuries, and 120 were successfully rescued following severe floods in Duhok province.

In addition to the human toll, the floods inflicted damage on infrastructure, with the Operations and Crisis Management Chamber noting that 50 vehicles were among the casualties in Duhok.

The formation of the assessment committee underscores the urgent need to address the widespread devastation and extend assistance to those affected by this natural disaster.
