APIKUR: KRG yet to provide Iraq with copies of oil contracts, negotiations ongoing

According to the spokesperson of the Association of the Petroleum Industry of Kurdistan (APIKUR), Myles Caggins, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has not yet submitted copies of the oil contracts to the Iraqi government.

Caggins mentioned that adjustments to the contracts need to align with the current circumstances.

Caggins also stated that, despite investing $10 billion in the Kurdistan Region, the terms of our work need to be revised. Significant funds have been allocated to oil-related endeavors in the region.

APIKUR spokesperson emphasized the importance of KRG’s involvement in modifying the oil agreements. Negotiations are underway for oil exports from the Kurdistan Region, with further discussions expected to address additional specifics.
