Several individuals were injured during a confrontation between police and wanted men in Sulaymaniyah, with two individuals reported to be in critical condition, as per the health spokesman.
Saman Sheikh Latif, the health spokesman of Sulaymaniyah, stated that four people were wounded in the incident today, with two sustaining critical injuries.
The clash occurred when a police team arrived at the neighborhood with arrest warrants for multiple suspects.
According to Sheikh Latif, the confrontation led to injuries as tensions escalated between the security forces and the wanted individuals.
Following the incident, both the police forces and the forensic department carried out investigations at the scene.
A witness commented on the situation, mentioning that the family involved had been facing issues for years and that timely resolution might have averted today’s clash.
The witness further reported that while some of the individuals confronting the security forces were detained, others ended up injured in the clash.
