On the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, the officials met and discussed the latest security developments in the Middle East and the threats of terrorism, according to a statement released by the Kurdistan Region Presidency.

The two sides agreed on the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region and making efforts to prevent further escalation of tensions.

Barzani set for Turkey earlier on Friday to join the ADF, a three-day event that welcomes delegates from 147 different countries and about 4,500 participants, including 19 heads of state, 73 ministers, and 57 international representatives.

With the central theme of “Elevating Diplomacy Amidst Crises,” the forum will delve into a diverse array of pressing global matters such as climate change, migration, Islamophobia, trade disputes, and artificial intelligence.
